Lincoln's Dream

In 1864, while speaking to a group of citizens in Baltimore, Abraham Lincoln said the following:

"The world has never had a good definition of the word liberty, and the American people, just now, are much in want of one. We all declare for liberty; but in using the same word we do not all mean the same thing."

In saying this, do you think President Lincoln really believes that his dream for a unified and truly free nation will ever be accomplished? What are your thoughts?

  • What would you change about the project?
  • What was you favorite part of the project?
  • What did you learn about group projects that will help you in the future?
Hope you enjoyed the project--I enjoyed watching you all work on it. Great job!!!!!
