The War made jobs for people to build machinery and other items needed for the army. A war would have this effect because with men going off to fight, then more people especially women would be needed to help out in factories. The war started around 1939 and ended in 1945. I think that if the US had not joined it would have been harder for us to get out of the Depression and also the war might have either been lost or gone on for a longer amount of years. Since the war created so many jobs in the US, it was a good idea to even get involved, but I think we could have gone in sooner. If we had gone in sooner the Depression might not have lasted as long as it did.
I think that war has this effect because in war you need a lot of soldiers to fight and more soldiers means more jobs for the people who were laid off. And in this war it was the first time women could fight so it also gave women jobs as well. Before the war the problem was all of the lay offs that companies had to make because of the huge economic hole America was in. So there were very few jobs available and the ones that were available you would have to compete with thousands of men and women. So with the war starting it gave millions of Americans a job they didn't have to be qualified for. So this would give people more hope and jobs. I do not think that Roosevelt should have brought America to war earlier. Before Pearl Harbor America didn't have a real reason to join. It wasn't like France and Poland and England who had to defend their land. We are on a completely different continent. So I think we waited the right amount of time to enter World War II.
There are many essential supplies needed during a war. Some of those include ammo, weapons, food, and other essentials. These would help factories and provide many jobs for unemployed workers. I do think president Roosevelt could have brought the U.S. into war earlier. There were many events in the war where the U.S. could have stepped in, but they did not. If this was done the Great Depression would not have been as severe and may not have lasted as long as it did.
During the great depression it was hard for many people to find jobs. This specific depression affected people of both classes, the rich and the poor. Joining the war helped end the depression because people that were unoccupied were able to get jobs.So overall I believe it was smart for us to enter the war since it opened up many jobs for both men and woman too.I think that President Roosevelt should have brought us into the war as early as possible because it would have helped ended the depression faster and our economy would be better off. With that being said, there were many other key decisions that Roosevelt had to make to help the country. Roosevelt is arguably one of the best presidents of all time for digging us out of the Great Depression.
The war helped our economy because it gave people jobs, and they were selling motor products to other counties. I think that it would not have mattered when we joined the war because we wouldn't have gotten out of it any quicker , We wouldn't have because we were still very weak and although it would given people jobs, our country just was not ready. I think that we entered the war at the time, and if had entered earlier, our country would be very different then it is today.
I believe that war has this effect becuase when people had lost their jobs because of the depression and in war you need a lot of soldiers to fight which means more jobs for the people. Also war supplied jobs for the people becasue they needed someone to build the the machinery and people were needed to work in the factories. I do not think that we should have gotten into the war quicker because the war wouldnt have ended any quicker. I think if we entered it any quicker everything would have been very different. Although it solved a lot of the depression i think we entered the war at the perfect time.
War has the effect of giving people jobs because during the Great Depression, it was very difficult to get work so joining the war was the only way for some people. Also, war supplied jobs because the U.S. needed someone to work in factories and produce machinery. I do not believe that President Roosevelt should have brought the U.S. into war any earlier because no matter what, the war would still take the same amount of time and the same amount of lives lost. If we did enter the war earlier however, we would have helped the economy sooner but the war would still take the same amount of time no matter what, so I do not see how it would have helped us. Even though we entered the war during the Great Depression, I believe there was no better time to join because the longer we waited, the worse it would get.
I believe that roosevelt had brought the U.S. into the war at the appropriate time. If we had gone in earlier, there is a chance that the war could have gone in an opposite direction. If we had lost the war, it would have ruined the economy. However, that being said, if we had never entered the war, it would have been difficult to get out of the depression by ourselves. War has the ability to stimulate the economy because it gives people jobs all across the country. People can work to make machinery, weaponry, clothing for soldiers, and other things to help the war effort. In addition, in war, you have allies, you can trade with those allies and receive money if needed to build up your economy.
The war effort during World War II helped the nation out of the depression because of how many jobs it created. Men and women had to help in factories, and more soldiers would be enlisted into the army with a small salary. There are ups and downs of possibly going to war earlier. Clearly, it would have helped our economy and lifted the nation out of the depression earlier, but this really was not our war yet. It had to do with European countries, not the U.S. Plus, Germany had not attacked us or provoked us in any way to persuade America to go to war.
I think that not all wars have a positive effect on the United State's economy, but World War II did. By this, I mean that when World War II broke out, many people needed jobs and the United States needed a lot of machinery and arms in order to fight and protect them selves. Because the U.S. lacked these materials, many jobs could be created to make these items and pull the U.S. out of the depression. But, in today's economic times, the economy is still struggling even though there is a war going on in Afghanistan and Iraq. If war had the positive effect of bringing the US out of depression, then the tough economic times that we are struggling with today would not exist. I do not think that President Roosevelt should have brought the U.S. into the war sooner because no one would have known that the war would have brought a better economic states, so when the economy came out of the depression, it was a surprise to most people.
The war stimulated the economy because men would be going off to war while the women were staying and working in factories. Also the war demanded products, so they could sell there weaponry to get money. I think that president Roosavelt should have brought the United States into the war eailer because they could of stopped Germany from getting stronger and taking over other countries. If the US did not join the war they would still be stuck in the depression and soon enough Germany would come along and take over their country.
This war made a huge effect that helped our economy in many ways. First of all, many more jobs were open because factories started building the weapons, ammunition, clothing for all of the men fighting, food supply, and medical supplies. Due to the high demand for all of these items this created so many jobs for people. In, my opinion President Roosevelt should have brought the United States into the war sooner to help us get out of the depression. There were around 12 million people who were without jobs, so if we went to war earlier then many people would not of lost so much money. In the end going to war did help get the United States out of the depression.
War has this effect because as troops go into war they need supplies when they need this produce the demand for it goes up. As a result, people want to make the supplies which creates jobs and factories. I also think that President Roosevelt should have gone into the war sooner to help the economy out of the recession and maybe it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. If President Roosevelt had gone later into the war, the United Sates may not have gotten out of the depression by the end of the war. Lastly, I believe that if Roosevelt maintained neutrality throughout the war it would have been difficult for the United Sates to get out of the Great depression.
World War 2 helped get America out of the depression because war creates jobs for unemployed Americans. During war you need to produce weapons and in order to do this you need to make factories manufacturing these goods. Having new factories appear throughout the United States creates new for Americans have have just gotten laid off. Another reason War got us out of the depression is because going into war allows americans to fight. I do believe that Roosevelt should have brought us into war earlier because there is a possibility that we could have gotten out out of the war much sooner.
During the great depression it was hard for many people to find jobs. It hurt people of both classes, the rich and the poor. Joining the war helped end the depression because people that were unoccupied were able to get jobs. I believe it was smart for the US to enter the war since it had many jobs open. I think that President Roosevelt should have brought us into the war as early as possible because it would have helped ended the depression faster and our economy would be better off .Roosevelt is probably one of the best US presidents of all time because of how he brought us out of the depression.
The War created jobs because the government needed to equip it's soldiers. Some iteams the soldiers needed to be prepared for war included food, footwear, bombs and vehicles. At this time the U.S. had a low econmic growth known as the Great Depression so war gave the U.S. a buisness boost. I also think the U.S. could have gone into the war much sooner. If the U.S. had gone into the war sooner the Great Depression probably wouldn't have lasted as long.
The war effort helped boost the American Economy because it gave citizens jobs to work in factories that produced Planes, Tanks, Guns, Ammunition, etc. However, I do not feel that President Roosevelt should have brought the United States into the war earlier because there was no attack onto us by the Germans and back then Hitler didn't seem like such a threat.
An economy can grow by going into war because many more jobs open up. People that worked in places such as factories were called as soldiers. leaving their posts open. SO, the people who were not drafted could take those jobs, because weapons and other war necessities needed to be produced. Even though it did help the U.S. economy, I think President Roosevelt did did make the right decision in when to go war.
I think war has this affect because it created many jobs for people who were unemployed because it was still the great depression, and tons of Americans were out of work. I think that Rosevelt cold have brought our country into World War II earlier. He probably did not bring us into the war earlier because it was not in the United States's best interest, even though we were in a terrible economic time. If the United states had not joined the war I believe that it would have taken a very long time for the United States to get out of the depression, and things would be very different today. I believe that Rosevelt mad a good decision by not bringing the United States into World War II earlier. I believe this because his idea of neutrality was working until just before he decided to go into World War II.
World War II made many jobs for people in the United States, ended the Great Depression, and it boosted America's economy. The reason many jobs were created was because the USA army needed weapons and vehicles in order to fight in the war. Many factories that had went out of business opened up again and began making machinery and weapons. Many Americans who had lost their jobs in the Great Depression started working at these factories. I think that President Roosevelt shouldn't have brought us into war earlier because we wouldn't have a good reason for joining the war and also we would be put into the risk of Germany and other countries attacking us because we didn't choose their side. In conclusion, joining the war helped our economy because it created many jobs for Americans.
I think war has the outcome of helping a nation's economy, because of the way war brings people together. When a country goes to war, the country's people become unified. The homefront of World War II is a incredible example. Everyone pitched in and created a mass of supplies. I do not think President Roosevelt should have entered the war earlier, considering the fact that the U.S economy was still heavily recovering from the great depression. However, when Roosevelt did enter the war, he unified his people and made the country's economy better.
Going to war helps the economy because it creates jobs for people to make ammunition, machinery, and other necessities to fight in a war. War reopens factories that were shut down due to finical problems. As well as men going to war and opening up more spots for other people to work. I think President Roosevelt brought America into World War two at the right time. If we joined the war earlier, we may not have won. If we didn't go at all, it would have been really difficult to get out of the depression.
War has a great effect to an economy because of the factories start working again. With the factories working this opens up many jobs for making guns to making clothes for the army. This dramatically helped the U.S. economy in a time of need and Roosevelt made a great decision to go to war at that time. I feel if Roosevelt made the right decision to wait as long as possible without getting involved in the war. Even though war is good for the economy, you can forget who is fighting in the wars. If the U.S. joined the war earlier more lives could have been lost and a much bigger death toll. War is great for the economy and Roosevelt made the right decision at the right time.
The war boosted are economy and gave U.S. more jobs because soldiers need more supplies to fight. so factories start to produce weapons and other essentials, which requires more helping hand, hence creating more jobs for the unemployed. I do think that we should have gone to war sooner because even if we were only a small part of it the U.S. would start digging themselves out of the Great Depression and into an age of a healthy economy.
World War 2 helped the U.S. because jobs were created in the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force for fighting and engineering. Also munitions factories were opened to produce for the war which created more jobs.I do not think that President Roosevelt should have brought us to war earlier because everything turned out fine and only more lives would have been lost.
The War made jobs for people to build machinery, weapons and other necessary things for the army. It had men go and fight in the war, or build the items for the war. Women started to work in factories as well. I think that if we did not had joined the war, it would have been harder for us to get out of the Depression and/or the war might have went on for longer. Since the war caused so many factories to start up and run again, it was a great idea for the U.S to get involved. I think we went in at the right time. If we had gone in sooner, more men would die.
The country would need supplies to fight a war. These supplies, like ammo and weapons, would be made in factories. This would mean that people would recieve jobs working in factories. This would help America get out of the depresion. It might have been smarter to enter the war a bit earlier. This would get us out of the war faster. If America had entered later or not at all, the war could have gone on for an even longer time.

The war helped the economy because when they went into the war they had lots of jobs open for the army and factories were being used again to make weapons. the factories and the army helped millions of people fight for there country and make money for there families. If the U.S. never joined in the war they would still be in the great depression. I think if President Roosevelt brought the U.S. into the war earlier it would affect the U.S. because they were still in the Depression and did not have a plan on what they were going to do for the war.
Roosevelt's decision to enter the war was a smart one because it helped the United States out of the Great Depression. The reason for this was that when a country goes into war, the military needs more resources such as munitions and ammunitions. These extra jobs lowered the unemployment rate and boosted the economy. Roosevelt's decision came at a crucial time because people were starving on American streets, however an economic gain alone is not a justifiable reason to declare a war. Waiting until an event like Pearl Harbor to occur gave Roosevelt a justifiable reason to declare war and that is the reason for the end of the Great Depression.
When a war starts in the world it always boosts the economies of the countries in the war. Factories start making supplies for the army like clothes and ammunition. After factories start making all the supplies, they are in need of workers, so people get employed. This will help these citizens to stay out of poverty. I think Roosevelt stayed out of the war too long. He should have thought about the war having a good effect on America's economy. I understand why he didn't want to get involved, but it would've gotten America out of the Great Depression sooner.
War stimulates the economy and helps a nation out of depression because it creates a demand for the necessary equipment of war. With this demand comes more money and more jobs; therefore creating a stronger economy. Bringing the U.S. into war earlier would have been 100% intelligent on an economic standpoint, but not necessarily on a military standpoint. Though the period of pre WWII was longing for a "pick-me-up", we must realize that coming into the war earlier probably would not have been a wise decision in that we should give the European countries a chance to settle their difficulties on their own without our influence. Though would could argue that we shouldn't have stayed "reserved" for as long as a period that we did... Therefore, getting to the source of the problem in quicker time, making for less destruction.
When President Roosevelt brought the US into war not only did it help the economy but it helped the emotional uprise of our country. Starting the war created jobs for many. It also meant more Solider's. The jobs created were more of factory jobs. At the factories they made ammunitions for the soilders. When the work rate was increasing rather than decreasing this meant hope to all the homeless men who had lost their job in the Great depression. President Roosevelt led us in the right direction which would be out of the Great Depression. I think that if President Roosevelt brought us into war sooner that their would be a possibility that it would have been better but, it he brought us into war any later than he did he would have a harder time. I believe if he brought us into war any later that the economy would have been destroyed and would denie anything that came in it's way. In conclusion, President Roosevelt saved our country at the right time before it sank.
I believe that President Roosevelt brought the United States into war at as good of a time as any. He was right to try and remain neutral, however, it eventually got to a point that this was no longer possible. Entering the war sooner would have made it even more difficult for us to win, and had we waited much longer, the economy would most likely become an even larger concern. War helped the previously horrible economy because it created occupations for people who, otherwise, may have not had jobs. People were now able to provide for themselves and their families by helping to provide machinery and various items needed to fight in a war.
The War provided jobs for the American people to help the War effort by building ammunition, food, and other supplies. In doing so, it could have created jobs for America and give American people some hope that their President will try to help them move forward. The war started in 1939 and ended in about 1945. I think that if President had not joined in the war it would have been harder for us to get out of the Depression.
Wars stimulate economies for many reasons. One of these reasons is the production of supplies necessary for war. To make the supplies, factories reopen and create jobs. The war could also boost people's morale, which would encourage them to get back to work, and make an income. I think President Roosevelt picked the right time to go into the war, because up to that point, it did not involve America, and it would have been pointless to "stick our noses" into their business. Going into the war earlier may have helped the economy, but the risks of going into the war outweighed the pros. Overall, President Roosevelt brought the American economy up, and helped in the war effort at the right time.
War has this effect vecause it allows unemployed men and women (men at the time) to receive work. They are also able to get benifits for being in the war so this can support their families. These reasons could be why war helped the nation get out of the Great Depression. I don't think President Roosevelt should have brought the U.S into war earlier, because it wouldn't have mattered. It would have made the Great Depression worse especially with the loss of American lives and loss of money due to war. Although going to war could have helped with allowing Americans to go to work (going to fight in the war). It definitely would have helped the economy sooner.
The war helped our economy by creating jobs in factories creating weapons and supplies for the soldiers. It had this effect because it gave men as well as women jobs creating more money flow through out the US. I think Roosevelt made the right decision bringing the US into war when he did. Any earlier it may not have been worth it because no one really knew the extent of what Hitler was trying to do. Joining the war when he did was smart because it bailed the US out of the depression, but if he had joined earlier it may have helped us out of the depression sooner.
The war effort had the ability to help our nation out of the Great Depression by the amount of jobs it created for people in the U.S. Men and women were now needed in factories to work machinery, weaponry, and make clothing to send to soldiers. More soldiers were also enlisted into the army and given a small salary. I think that President Roosevelt brought the U.S. into the war at a suitable time. It would not have been appropriate to enter the war any sooner, considering the fact that it was still not our war. By this point, Germany had not yet provoked the U.S. in any way that would have persuaded us to go to war. Additionally, the war could have gone in the opposite direction and had a completely different outcome if we had entered the war any sooner.
Some wars have positive effects on the United States economy and some wars don't. In this case, World War II did. The way World War II had a positive effect on the United States economy was by how it created jobs for people by having men and women work in factories to create weaponry for the soldiers. I feel that President Roosevelt did the right by not bringing the United States into the war earlier to help the economy because then even more people would have lost their lives.
War stimulates economy because of the factories have to create supplies for the army, making jobs available for American citizens. I think President Roosevelt should have brought the U.S. into war earlier because it would have boosted economy and defend our country so we don't get attacked on our soil. President Roosevelt tried to stay neutral America safe but it took him to long to see or realize that war was inevitable.
War helps a country's economy because it increases the need for weapons, vehicles and food to support the troops. Since manufacturing of these goods increases, defense contractors create jobs. The government also employs more soldiers which helps to decrease unemployment. I don't believe that President Roosevelt should have brought the U.S into war earlier just to help the economy. Reasons for entering a war should be based on protecting our freedom, people and land, not for economical reasons. There are other ways to boost the economy without going to war such as cutting the tax rates reducing spending, extending unemployment benefits, or pumping in more stimulus such as investing in our infrastructure.
When the country went to war it made jobs for people. The jobs included working in a factory to make weapons or you could join the armed forces. So by going to war President Roosevelt made jobs for people and helped to get the country out of the Great Depression, but war has downsides to it. By going to war people will die and also war is never good for a country. So I think that President Roosevelt entered the war at the right time.
War has an effect in the economy because the demand for guns, ammo, cloth, ships, steel, etc went up because the US needed more of them. The factories that closed during the Great Depression reopened and people got jobs again. If the US had gone into war earlier the Great Depression would not have lasted as long and the economy would go up again.
I believe that war increases the economy of a nation, mostly because it gives many new businesses the ability to give out more jobs. this is because the army needs supplies to help fight the war, and if more factory can make more supplies than the army will buy more. Finally when more people have jobs the overall economy increases. So all in all, i believe that president Roosevelt should have gone to war sooner because of the economic depression America was in.
I believe that war increases the economy of the U.S. because it opens up job opportunities for people to work in factories for supplies for the military. I think the President Roosevelt waited the perfect amount of time to go to war because if we went to war earlier we would not have been prepared for battle
War has many effects, on the nation and its people. No matter what the reasons are for declaring war, it always has nasty effects on the country. It usually leaves the country's economy in the toilet, in the early 1900's when Roosevelt was President of America, he made a decision. Many thought that he came into the War to late, but what he did do right was getting the people of America back into work. Roosevelt had good intentions, but I strongly disagree on how late he came into the War. Once you kill or harm Americans, that should be enough proof to declare War.
I believe that war has the effect of brining nations out of depression because it creates more jobs for example at factories and etc. I think president Roosevelt brought the US into war at the right time because he was not trying to have our countries civilians die for no cause.
The war opened up more jobs for people who didn't have any jobs. I think the USA should have even brought the country into war earlier. We could have ended the war and the suffering of our country earlier. We may have also been able to save more lives
I think that President Roosevelt should of sent the United Sates into war sooner because if we did go into war it would of given more people jobs. If we would of given more people job opportunities earlier, then maybe the economy would have gotten better faster and more people wouldn't have had to suffer for as long as the amount as they did. I personally also think that Roosevelt should have brought the U.S. sooner, becuase then the tragety of the Great Depression wouldnt have happened as long.
World War II greatly stimulated our economy because the war effort needed huge amounts of supplies such as weapons, planes, tanks, missiles, uniforms, and food supplies. factories that had been closed re-opened and produced these goods in huge amounts and also put thousands of people back to work. No, Roosevelt should not have even considered bringing the United States into a war, simply to improve the economy.
The war created many jobs for people who did not have any. It created jobs for the poor, the hungry, and the hopeless. This is what our economy terribly needed. To help these people who where in distress and had no other options. Even though this war was a great solution in helping so many people, i do not think we should have brought the USA into war earlier for that one reason. There were many other reasons to bring our country into war. In my opinion this would be a very selfish reason to have young men risk there lives. Although it helped out millions of people, i believe that you need more important reasons to have people be injured or killed.
