Research Project
What is the most difficult challenge you have faced during the process of working on your research paper? Be specific, and explain why it was a challenge........
The most challenging part of the project for me was writing my thesis statement, it was challenging because i wasn't sure of the reasons behind Eisenhower calling in the national guard. Also i didn't understand what my topic was, and why it was telling me to find. After is researched a little more, i figured out what my reason was, also i being to literal, in the sense that i wasn't looking at the reason why he did what he did.
The most challenging part of my project was researching and finding the best notes for my topic. It was hard because there were many different sources I could've used, but I had to find the ones that fit my subject the best.
The most difficult challenge for me that I have faced during the process of working on my research paper was writing my thesis statement. It was either too long or I had trouble connecting it with my topic. However, this thesis that I have now will most likely not be the thesis I will end up using in my research paper, knowing the fact it will probably change. So in conclusion, writing my thesis statement was probably the toughest party of my research paper so far.
For me the most difficult challenge I faced during the process of working on my research paper war writing my theses statement. Writing my thesis was with out a doubt the most difficult thing because you have to put enough information so the reader knows what your talking about, but you cant put too much information because it is just supposed to be an idea of what you are going to talk about through out your paper. Also in order to write your thesis, you have to do a lot of research because at that time you really don't know too much of what your writing about so you have to make sure you really understand your topic. So far, writing my thesis statement was the toughest part of my research paper.

Then I was challenged in decided which theory I wanted to prove. And finally, I struggled to form a concise statement. Now that I have my thesis statement done, I think writing the conclusion will be my next big challenge.
The hardest part of the research project for me was starting. I didn't want to start because I just saw the big picture and not the little steps and I got overwhelmed. I thought I would be extremely hard and impossible so I procrastinated. After procrastinating for a couple of days I realized I had to get something done so I started looking at a couple different sites to get information about my topic.I wasn't as lost and I realized it wasn't as hard as I thought. Once I started I wasn't as overwhelmed with all the work. Starting was the hardest part.

However, once I got going the problem started to go away. Now I realized you have to set short term goals to reach your final product in an efficient manner.

Because there is so much information and specific details about my topic, it is hard to determine which information to use, and what information is even accurate. For example, my topic has a lot to do with numbers, such as casualties and number of buildings that had been destroyed. I have to be very careful when deciding on which resources are reliable when dealing with my topic since it has extensive amounts of good, and bad information about it all over the internet.

When i found out that i had to use the school databases, i wasn't sure how to find the information i was looking for at first, but i found a strategy.

Also getting all the information I have organized into a way that will make it easier for me to write my paper in the end. Another challenging part is time management, with all the other homework and projects going on its hard to find a lot of time to research.
The most challenging part of my project so far was coming up with 75 notecards. Finding facts that i didn't already have. Most websites just talk about the main point and i read the same thing over and over again.
I think that the most difficult challenge that I have faced is getting my work done on time and not procrastinating. With a long-term project it is very easy to get off task and lose focus. So I try to manage my time wisely and use as much time as I can
I think that the most difficult part of the History project was not falling behind in the research and all of the due dates. Even though there are so many dates I need to remember it is a good lesson on how to keep on task with the following tasks, that take long to finish.

After going through it several times trying to find notes that were not as important became very tedious. also having to transfer my notes from my outline to rough draft, was also very annoying. I had to paraphrase my most important notes into something that is simple yet gives a good explanation. I think that was the hardest art of the paper
